One of the Sundance’s assets is its location. While the resort sits high in the Wasatch, it is also only 60 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, and enrollees travel to and from the airport by arranged shuttle. Participants should plan to arrive in Salt Lake City by 2:00 PM Sunday, and will depart Sundance early enough on Friday to arrive home that evening via afternoon flights out of Salt Lake.

Sundance Resort is a special place. Robert Redford, who bought the property in 1969, still maintains a home there and is a frequent visitor. To this day, Sundance reflects his desire to reject large hotels and condominiums, and instead create a place for environmental conservation and artistic expression. A popular place among locals to ski in the winter, the rest of the year it plays host to artistic workshops, institutes, professional meetings, and leisure.

It’s a perfect place for our Academy. Far enough away to prompt serious reflection, small enough to foster real relationships, rustic enough to be authentically Western, and sophisticated enough to be truly enjoyable. We love it there, and expect you will, too.
