Communication Planning for Influence and Outcomes

To earn credibility and influence with leaders, communication professionals must be able to demonstrate a level of process and rigor in how they work and communicate to drive outcomes. This is made increasingly challenging by the constantly-shifting, often unpredictable nature of communicators’ workloads. In this seminar, we will cover the frameworks, tools, and processes communication professionals can use to take their effectiveness to the next level by managing their time, workload, and relationships with leaders.

In the Communication Planning for Influence and Outcomes Seminar, Ellie Chamberlin and Matt Coyne, Managing Directors in CRA’s Strategic Communication Practice, will lead a developmental discussion across six areas:

  • Prioritizing Work and Getting Things Done
  • Tracking Issues, Opportunities, and Events
  • Assessing Strategic Service Levels
  • Identifying and Acting on Communication Opportunities
  • Managing Internal Client Relationships Through Conversation
  • Building Credibility and Trust with Colleagues

CRA Partners and Managing Directors with a minimum of 10 years advisory experience in Fortune 50 organizations lead each Seminar, and Seminars will typically include a variety of other CRA staff and clients who lend texture to the discussion. The agenda spans one and one-half days, with the content intentionally limited to six discussions – the goal is to engage a smaller number of more meaningful issues with depth. While individual Seminars can vary, a typical agenda is:
