Navigating the Frontier: Generative AI Insights and Applications for Communication Professionals

We stand at a pivotal moment in technology’s evolution, where artificial intelligence emerges as a reality that will redefine the corporate communication landscape.

At CRA | Admired Leadership®, our commitment is to help clients understand, adapt, and benefit from this transformative shift. In line with this commitment, we are proud to present a seminar on generative AI as part of our Strategic Communication Academy Seminar Series. Spanning two engaging half-day virtual sessions on April 10 and 11, 2024, Navigating the Frontier: Generative AI Insights and Applications for Communication Professionals will equip participants with a nuanced understanding of this technology’s strategic implications, and practical training in how to apply these tools in communication. Jamie Baffa, Matt Coyne, and Alan Nelson – all members of the firm’s task force on generative AI – will lead the seminar, focusing on an agenda spanning macro- perspectives and hands-on skills:

  • An Orientation to Generative AI, Large Language Models, and the “Jagged Frontier” of their Strengths and Weaknesses
  • Initial Approaches to Using GPT-4, Claude 2, Bing Chat, and DALL-E
  • Using Generative AI for Editorial Mastery
  • Using Generative AI for Content Generation
  • Using Generative AI for Summarization and Analysis
  • Using Generative AI for Thought Partnership and Combinatorials
  • Anticipating the Human Factors in Skills, Talent, and Judgment

CRA Partners and Managing Directors with a minimum of 10 years advisory experience in Fortune 50 organizations lead each Seminar, and Seminars will typically include a variety of other CRA staff and clients who lend texture to the discussion. The agenda spans two half-days, with the content intentionally limited to six discussions. The goal is to engage a smaller number of more meaningful topics with depth, incorporating a mix of presentation, demonstration, exercises, and discussion. While individual Seminars can vary, a typical agenda is:

  • 10:00 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. | Session 1
  • 11:15 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. | Break
  • 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. | Session 2
  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Break

Thursday, April 11

  • 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Break
  • 2:00 p.m. – 3:15 p.m. | Session 3

These two half-day sessions will demystify generative AI technology and provide communication professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to think deliberately about these tools and make effective use of them in their work. Accompanying the seminar, we will offer a curated compilation of supplementary resources — articles, podcasts, recommended newsletters, and thoughtfully designed generative AI prompts — to enrich discussions and serve as an invaluable toolkit post-seminar. This experience requires an investment of $2,500 per participant, with attendance limited to 20 to ensure a quality dialogue.
